Resumen
Writing a research paper is not only a skill but a formative part of becoming an independent researcher.
This seminar offers practical, strategic, and sometimes unconventional advice for PhD students, based on
both standard academic practices and personal experience. We will explore how to choose a paper type,
develop a strong motivation, organize writing around a realistic plan, and collaborate effectively with
coauthors. Special attention will be given to issues often overlooked in formal training, such as dealing with
lack of critical mass, disagreements in research teams, and navigating authorship ethics. The role of tools
like ChatGPT in drafting and refining research texts will also be addressed. This session aims to equip PhD
students with both actionable strategies and reflective insights to help them turn their research into
meaningful, publishable work.
